What I do.

The Design

By blending insight and creative expression, I design authentic brand identities that connect with people in fresh and compelling ways. My approach is guided by the belief that simple explanations are better than more complex ones. By better understanding who I am designing for, I can clarify your brand's purpose and meaning. The path of discovery begins to unfold organically by getting to know you on a personal level. I take inspiration from real people and know that behind every great brand is a collection of unique personalities.

How I do it.

The Strategy

The best performing brands stand for something. They are not only different from their competitors, but they have a purpose. I help brands identify their purpose by looking to research, studying the competitive landscape. By understanding exactly what sets them apart, I'm able to build champion brands that position businesses for growth. To ensure great results with every project, I’ve fine-tuned my creative process. I combine your industry knowledge with my design expertise to produce quality results quickly and painlessly.

Working Together.

THE PROCESS

1.DISCOVER

As a branding designer, everything I do begins with detailed research and discovery. I analyze market trends, evaluate the competitive landscape and immerse myself in my client's brand.

2.PLAN

At the foundation of a successful project is a strategic plan. I work hand in hand with my clients to formulate a streamlined plan of attack and set benchmarks so we can track the results.

3.DESIGN

My approach to design is structured yet organic. Finding the true essence of a brand allows me to communicate and visualize an emotive response. A balance of form and function.

4.EXECUTE

Time to turn creative concepts into reality. Using a variety of methods, I solve problems and position the brand so it stands out as well as stands for something. Finding ways to increase brand awareness, build relationships and drive sales.

5.ANALYZE

At the completion of each project, I spend time understanding the results. I look at the metrics, find key insights and implement adjustments to make informed marketing decisions on future brand initiatives.

6.CELEBRATE

Happy clients means I'm doing something right. That my friend calls for a frosty cold one, a glass of bubbly or big high five! I take pride in my client's success, it's what keeps me coming back for more.

Have a question?

FAQ

What is the timeline like for my project?

Timelines vary depending on the scope and deliverables of your project but on average, branding packages usually take 4 to 6 weeks to complete. Blogs and websites take 8 to 12 weeks from start to finish, including design and development. If you have a set deadline that needs to be met, please let me know right away and I’ll do my best to accommodate you.

I have a project in mind. What’s the process?

Contact me with your details and I’ll discuss your project first over email and then via phone or Skype so I can get to know you better. During our discussion, we’ll cover deliverables as well as pricing. Once we’ve ironed out the details, I’ll send you an estimate to review and approve with a contract to follow!

How much notice do I need to give you?

I'm often booked one to three months in advance so the sooner you can let me know the details of your project, the better. To ensure that each client receives the best possible experience, I carefully balance schedules to make sure communication and turnarounds are timely.

Do you work with clients around the world?

Yes! Though my home base is on planet earth, I’ve worked with clients across the U.S., Canada, Europe and Australia. I'm accustomed to working remotely and thanks to technology, it’s easier than ever to stay connected. Remember, I'm always just an email, phone call or video conference away.

What website platforms do you design for?

These days, Squarespace, Shopify and WordPress are the ways to go for most projects. These Content Management Systems are easily adaptable and have thousands of quality plugins, the possibilities are endless. Whether you need a traditional website, portfolio or e-commerce site, I can make it happen. In need of a different platform? Let’s discuss!

Responsible Design

OUR PLANET

I choose to uphold the values of ethics, honesty, and environmental responsibility. Being an ethical designer means respecting my clients, their beliefs, and others’ intellectual property. I do work I believe in, and turn down work I feel is of questionable morality. As an honest designer, I am responsibile for being clear and open with clients so they know where I stand on certain ideas and issues. I am honest about my skill level, rates, and areas of expertise, what is a good idea and what is bad. Being an environmentally responsible designer means making choices that have less of an impact on our environment. I try to think outside of the box for ways to make more environmentally friendly design choices. Being a responsible designer isn’t always the easiest choice, but it is the right choice.
